There was not much time today, also given the fact that it felt like it’s 40C outside I managed to visit only Osaka Castle today. I want to spend more time exploring the city itself, but it will have to wait for another time.
Built in 1583, Osaka Castle is located in Chūō-ku, Osaka, Japan. The castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The views from the top of the castle are impressive. The Main Tower of Osaka Castle is a museum which houses a collection of approximately 10,000 historical materials, including artifacts from this period as part of the main collection. It was well-worth visiting, before heading back to Kyoto later in the evening.
